Effie will work to expand housing options and lower the cost of living. She’ll fight to protect Social Security and expand Medicare and Medicaid by making the ultra-rich finally pay their fair share.

Protecting Workers and the Economy of the Hudson Valley

Effie will fight for fair wages and worker protections while strengthening Main Streets and our small businesses. She will work to eliminate the SALT cap and roll back Trump’s costly and needless tariffs.

A Nation of Immigrants

Effie is committed to advancing comprehensive immigration reform that preserves the right to seek asylum, upholds due process, keeps families together, and treats all people with dignity.

Preparing for Climate Change

Effie understands the threat of climate change and will work to defend our communities from extreme weather events. A strong believer in science and American innovation, Effie will support a transition to a green energy economy.

Defending Reproductive Freedom

Effie has fought for reproductive rights her whole life. She will continue the fight by working to advance federal legislation that ensures safe access to abortion and protects women’s health.

Advancing Peace and Safety

Effie knows that the US is safer and more prosperous when we support our international allies. Effie backs Ukraine, and she believes in a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.

Effie believes that politicians should be chosen by the people, not powerbrokers or the few who donate the most. Her grassroots campaign will not accept corporate PAC money, and she will fight to overturn Citizens United.
